The ARES Universal Brake Pad Spreader offers broad coverage for brake pad service on both fixed and floating single, twin, and quad piston calipers. With plates measuring 2-1/8 inches in width and 4-3/8 inches in length, carbon steel construction with black phosphate coating, and chrome plating on its center adjuster, this adjustable brake pad spreader’s universal design makes it suitable for most cars and light trucks. The 3/4-inch hex shank at the center of the tool offers 360-degree access, allowing for operation even in confined or partially obstructed spaces and offering the potential for ratcheting capabilities with a 3/4-inch ratchet wrench, open end wrench, or an adjustable wrench at a lower cost than many popular ratcheting models. NOTE: Ratchet wrench not included with this tool.
